The article states

"Unfortunately, somehow the Soda Company is not part of this deal and the folks at Hart will have to wait a few years to re-unite the sibling breweries"

My recall is that the Soda line was split off the main firm as the result of a divorce by one of the founders, where the (ex)-wife got the Soda part of the firm.

I will see if I can document this (should be possible, it's a local question, I even know the people that owned the slaughter house that became the Poulsbo brewery )
