Who awarded the 8th Dan and Shihan certification. If it was self awarded that has to be made clear.Peter Rehse 19:09, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

Aikido Journal's Encyclopedia says "8th dan Yoshinkan", so it's a good bet that it was awarded by Shioda. Pranin is pretty careful about such info, and has a close relationship with Yoshinkan folks, if I recall. Djiann (talk) 20:06, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
