Talk:Thomas Chalmers

Couple of points could use clarification:
- "in seven years upwards of 300,000 had been contributed" -- I assume that's £300,000, but I'm not sure how to confirm.
- if would be nice to link "the Disruption" in "In 1841 the movement which ended in the Disruption was rapidly culminating". I assume this is the disruption of the Church of Scotland in 1843, which a google search for "the Disruption" "Church of Scotland" finds many hits for (but which Wilipedia has as yet no article for).
- The quotation marks in "I have no veneration... but I have the utmost veneration for it qua an instrument of Christian good" were missing. I've guessed where they belong, but this should be verified.

I cahnged Chalmers date of Licensure from 1790 to 1799 based on this page: http://www.newble.co.uk/chalmers/. However brilliant Mr. Chalmers may have been, I assume that he would not have been licensed to preach at the age of ten. Chris Troutman 14:14, 28 September 2005 (UTC)
