[edit] Re: Thomas Macaulay

The article states that "Thomas Macaulay mistold" the story of Aikenhead. In what way was it mistold? What is the source for that judgment, ie, against what standard is Macaulay being judged as inaccurate?Moioci (talk) 16:03, 16 January 2008 (UTC) Update: I see that that text came directly from the page at uua.org. My questions still stand.Moioci (talk) 16:09, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

This article seems to have been cut and pasted from the unitarian website linked to at the bottom of page. Unfortunately I know nothing at all about this case so I can't attempt to remedy the situation myself. Jamrifis (talk) 12:04, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

Having written the original version and some subsequent changes I'll just say it was without any reference to any such Unitarian website page. AllyD (talk) 17:29, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

Then I would suggest the Unitarian page has lifted your page from wikipedia, as the bottom two paragraphs are a word for word copy: http://www25.uua.org/uuhs/duub/articles/thomasaikenhead.html

Sorry for any implied insult, it's just these acts of plagiarism usually flow in the other direction. Jamrifis (talk) 21:30, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
