This is literally the extent of Thorpdale's main street, Station St, these days. Including: milk bar (far left), post office (red post box and phone booth at the front), bakery (hidden) and supermarket (far right, closed at the time of this photo, and unlikely to be re-opened). The park and war memorial are on the opposite side of the road to the near buildings, and the pub is opposite the now defunct supermarket. Also note the festive Christmas decoration on the street lamp. |
