Thompson Submachine Gun, Model of 1928A1 with Lyman peep-sight, disassembled for maintenance or cleaning. This is one of the Thompson's that are send by the USA to the Sovjet Union in WW-II according to the "Lend-Lease-Act" of 1941 and stored in the arsenal for over 60 years and rediscovered in 2006 or 2007. All Parts are original. It is still ready to fire, but according to the german gun-law it was alterated in 2007 by the luxembourg company LDT to Semi-Auto fire only: The lever for "Full Auto/Single" was removed and some other internal changes make it impossible to build it back to a full-auto gun. Only the Serial-No. of the gun on the photo was manipulated/changed due safety reasons. The gun was legally bought and registered according to the german gun-laws.
