"This Could Be the Night" was a song released in 1985 on the Canadian rock band Loverboy's hit album Lovin' Every Minute of it. The song contained much more of a style that represented the classic 80's power pop ballads than the rocking style that the band was known for. When released as a single in 1986, it reached the top ten on the Billboard charts.
