As of the census of 1999, the population was 142.
The estimation for 2007 was 144.
The village and area around Thil-sur-Arroux are popular with many nationalities including Dutch Belgian Germans and English, a high percentage of the homesm are second/vacation homes. The area is part of the Morvan Park region and has some of the best air quality in Europe.
