About Me
Hi there! My name is Matt Moridian (hence the cheesy nickname/username), and I am a college student in my glorious home city, Glasgow. I love and know a lot about anything to do with history and mythology, but my main specialty area by a large margin is music. In my free time I go canoeing, and play incessantly on my PC/ PS2. I also enjoy watching films - my favourites are the new Star Wars trilogy and The Matrix trilogy. My favourite books are: Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows by JK Rowling, Seven Ancient Wonders by Matt Reilly, and Stonehenge by Bernard Cornwell.

Music
Music is my specialty area. I play a wide variety of instruments, including piano, electric/bass guitar, drums, and violin. In my free time I enjoy composing different styles of music - some of my pieces are solos, but most are created (and performed) with the help of my band. My first piece is called 'Infectious', and is a rock-classical piece based on the works of Amy Lee from Evanescence. My second piece is a 20-minute orchestral monolith in the style of a Star Wars duel.

History & Mythology
This is my second specialty. I know loads about Ancient Roman, Greek, and Egyptian mythologies, but these are by no means my limits - I can pretty much track the history of humanity from the Neolithic era until now. My favourite era has to be 1400-1700 (the discovery and formation of the Americas), and this is evident in my massive overplaying of Age of Empires III.

Computer Gaming
My current favourite game is Age Of Empires III (on PC). I love the way that history and real-time strategy have been brought together, and the game is seamless - I loved the game civilisations so much that I decided to play as all 8 civilisations, so I now have them all at level 50 home cities. I am quite sure my addiction may be changing soon though - either by the arrival of Age Of Empires IV (and V!), or by Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (on PS2).

My Beliefs
My 3 main beliefs are:
1. Democracy is a waste of time. Communism, or in fact any dictatorship, is the way forward.
2. Atlantis existed/exists.
3. Overuse of hyperlinks destroys a website (take note Wikipedia).
