Wikipedia has failed me. After seeing perfectly good articles which meet the criteria set forth by the owners and administrators become decimated and/or deleted, while absolute rubbish continues to thrive and its noncompliance ignored, I have come to the following conclusion:
Wikipedia's policy is swayed by opinions of the masses.
The continued existence of articles now boil down of the case of opinion versus opinion. If three people challenge that an article is on a non-notable subject and three people maintain that it is indeed noteworthy, the former party will always have their way.
This is especially true of articles regarding elements of modern fiction. Often, it is modern fiction in general that is under attack by this abomination, but at most times, it is narrowed down to a few certain targets.
Whereas I do agree that sometimes there are articles which take things too far into information which can be regulated to a fansite or a similar venue, there are too many individuals that force everything under this umbrella. Until this changes, I hereby resign from active editing of Wikipedia. I shall return under the condition is resolved.
If you have any comments on the matter, feel free to leave them on my Talk page; I shall still check this frequently.
