I'm an incredibly devout opera fan. If there's an opera on in Ireland, i'll be there. My favourite composers are Wagner and Strauss. I simply adore the way they use the orchestra to go beyond what the character is saying and to convey the deepest caverns of their psychology. My favourite operas are Parsifal, Tristan und Isolde, Der Ring des Nibelungen and Elektra. My favourite singers include Maria Callas, Kirsten Flagstad, Birgit Nilsson, Joan Sutherland, Wolfgang Windgassen to name a few. I am also very fond of literature, my favourite novel being Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë. My favourite poets are Yeats and Plath. I have been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder.
