Theodora (martyr)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Saint Theodora is a second century Christian martyr whose story is probably at least partially fictitious. According to legend, she was a beautiful maiden living in Alexandria, Egypt who was sent to a brothel when she refused to sacrifice to pagan gods and died when she was rescued by Saint Didymus, who was later beheaded when the authorities learned what he had done.[1]
