The Razor Skyline was a Seattle, United States–based goth/industrial band formed in 1995 by guitarist/composer The_gun and vocalist Karen Kardell. They released their first album in 1996 on the COP International label. Additional musicians in the band included IoEjekta (on electronic percussion) from 1996 - 1998, Robin Jacobs (guitarist formerly of Switchblade Symphony) from 1996 - 1997, Charlotte Shai (who replaced Kardell on vocals) in 1998 and Onyx (on electronic percussion) 1999 - 2003.
The Razor Skyline combined lush keyboards, electronic drums, guitars (ranging from heavy to swirly) and female vocals (ranging from shrieking to angry to beautiful) to create an original sound that lived somewhere at the intersection of goth, industrial, new wave, metal and synthpop.
The Razor Skyline officially called it quits in January 2007 after years of inactivity.
