The Pity Party is a two-piece band from Los Angesles comprised of Heisenflei (keyboards, drums, vocals) and M (guitar, vocals, auto-orchestra). They were formed in 2005, released The EP in 2006 produced by Noah Shain and in 2008 Orgy Porgy EP followed produced Stevehimself.
The Pity Party are well-known for repurposing rubbish for CD packagings, flyers and posters.
The Pity Party was voted the best band in LA by LA Weekly and most recently number 1 MySpace New Bands Competition by SUPERSWEET.
In April 2007, The Pity Party toured in support of The Raveonettes and on 6th May 2008, The Pity Party made their UK debut at Bush Hall, London supporting Good Shoes for SUPERSWEET Concept Night Part 1 featuring paper cut artist Rob Ryan.
In June 2008, The Pity Party were featured in the RADAR section of NME, who described them as "Weird punk noise from LA".
