The Wordsley School is a secondary school located in Wordsley, Stourbridge, which is in the West Midlands of England. It was built in about 1960 to serve the growing area around the border of Stourbridge and Brierley Hill.
Until September 2002, the school was known as the Buckpool School. Its current head teacher is Michael Lambert, who has overseen an overhaul of the school's identity and standing in the community. His tenure has also coincided with an improvement in GCSE results.
The Wordsley School is currently the only school in the country with both Business & Enterprise and Music as a combined specialist status.
Murder victim Carl Bridgewater was a third year (equivalent of today's Year 9) pupil at Buckpool School when he died on 19 September 1978.
