The Williamson Playboys
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Williamson Playboys are a Canadian musical comedy duo made up of Canadian The Second City alum Doug Morency and Paul Bates.[1] They won the 2004 Canadian Comedy Award for Best Comedic Play.[2]
As the Williamson Playboys, Bates and Morency play "the oldest living father-son cajun music duo" who are both over 100 years old, and who claim to have invented every genre of music of the modern era. Their act is a combination of anecdotes and their own songs, with Bates playing a tuba and Morency (the son) a ukelele.
