This story is set roughly 600 years in the future sometime between 2600 and 2700. This book contains much of the same themes as the Forbiden Borders trilogy of worshipping God though experience.
[edit] Plot
The human race consists of billions of people spread through out a relatively small area of space containing Earth and several other inhabited planets. The majority of the population lives on giant space stations, either in orbit or moving like giant ships. A change occurred over the generations that was caused by 0g and exposure to different radiations. Most are pale skinned, skinny, and frail boned. Some would die if they experienced gravity. The human race is ruled over by the Directorate, which is headed by three genetically modified humans. These three humans float in large rooms with zero gravity. They have very thin arms, legs, and body while having a head 5 time larger than normal. The head was mostly covered with a metal cap that linked the massive brain to the Gi-net, a sort of information buffer system that all must use. The Gi-net is a communication network connected directly to the Directors that all information must first pass through before it is released, allowing the Directorate complete control over information for 600 years. They stopped all war and religion and caused humanity to be composed of mostly obedient cowards. Before 600 years the Soviets ruled humanity after conquering North America. The Native American tribes, angered that the position of reservations had not changed, fought back. And succeeded, to the point that they were all loaded onto a giant prison ship and deported to deep space along with other rebels of Latino and caucasian decent. A population of over 5,000 comprised entirely of people with the will and heritage to survive. The ship crashes onto a planet that they name World. 600 years later the survivors have mixed into many different clans that comprised two distinctly different peoples, the Spiders and the Santos. They are the two opposing powers on World. Their culture is mainly Native American with the addition of large bore rifles. The rifles are hand forged from metal of the wrecked prison ship. They required heavy rifles to deal with a natural predator on World that they named bears. These bears are similar to a dragon squid combination, having two spine that connect at the base and a tentacle on each side with suction cups on it that is shoots toward its prey, the bears are at least 10 feet tall but it is never specified. The Directorate accidentally picks up a bit of radio chatter from World as the warriors use hand radios. The Patrol, which is the combination of a military and a police and with the Directorate they have had no violence or wars in over 200 years to test themselves on. They arrive at World expecting to find civilized people barely surviving like at most other lost stations or colonies. The native warriors were savage fighters following the Native American tradition of "coup" taking, or scalping killed enemies as a method of showing how many they had killed. to be continued
