The Underdog is the first single from Spoon's 2007 album Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga. It reached a peak of #14 on Billboard magazine's Hot Modern Rock Tracks. It also appeared in the 2008 film Cloverfield, where it is used as the music for the party held at the beginning of the film.
