The Thanos Quest was a two-issue American comic book mini-series published in 1990 by Marvel Comics. The series was written by Jim Starlin, and drawn by Ron Lim. In 1991, Marvel Comics released a sequel, The Infinity Gauntlet, a six-issue limited series also written by Jim Starlin and penciled by Ron Lim.
[edit] Plot summary
The Titan Thanos steals the six Infinity Gems from the cosmic entities the Elders of the Universe (the Gardener; Champion; Runner; Collector and Grandmaster respectively) and the concept being the In-Betweener. Thanos then mounts the gems on his left glove and creates The Infinity Gauntlet, with the intent of being the equal - and therefore consort - of Death. Ironically, the Gauntlet places Thanos above Death and she cannot acknowledge him now that he is her superior in every way. Thanos, now omnipotent, is left to ponder his next move. [1]
