From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Tale of the Flopsy Bunnies is a book written and illustrated by Beatrix Potter that was first published in 1909.
When Benjamin Bunny and his children, the “Flopsy Bunnies,” go to Mr. McGregor’s rubbish heap, they are pleasantly surprised to find it filled with overgrown lettuces. They eat their fill and then fall asleep. When they are found by Mr. McGregor and put in a bag, Thomasina Tittlemouse comes to their rescue.
But when Mrs. Tittlemouse returns home, she sees Mr. Jackson on her rocking chair. He stays for supper because he smells honey and wants it. After a short search for the honey, because Mrs. Tittlemouse doesn't have any, Mr. Jackson eats the honey without stopping. After that the bees in her home leave for a new place for their nest. Mrs. Tittlemouse is so upset that she hides in her store capnet.
When Mr. Jackson leaves and Mrs. Tittlemouse comes out of her store room, she sees her house in such a mess. But the next morning she cleaned it up. Then Mrs. Tittlemouse gave a party without Mr. Jackson. But in the end she forgives him.
The book was also turned into a 1993 animated movie.
