The Shelbys are a five piece rock n' roll band from Lamego, Portugal. The Shelbys cover bands and artists such as Interpol, The Strokes, Pixies, amongst others.

The Shelbys started to play under the name G.A.P.R., being the original members Tony Shelby on Vocals, King Shelby playing Bass Guitar and Jonny Shelby and Rodriguez Shelby played Acoustic Guitar. Later in 2003, Mandela Shelby (Bass Guitar, Guitar) joined the band and The Shelbys were born. The band performed their first gigs in a pub named O POTE BAR. After several gigs, in 2006 the band was invited to play in Recepção ao Caloiro de Famalicão before Peste & Sida. Nearly a year after, The Shelbys were asked to play in Recepção ao Caloiro de Lamego, this time preceding UHF.
