Princess Torina

Princess Torina is the only child of King Kareed and Queen Dreea. She is the Great Seer, having been given the Great Seer's crystal ball by Marla through her father. She has flaming red hair.

Landen

Landen is the only son of King Veldon of Bellandra. He was captured by King Kareed and given to Torina as a slave. She released him and he learned the arts of war with the other highborn boys. Landen fled Archeld before King Kareed was killed and got acused of killing Kareed. After changing his name to Bellanes, he fights in the Desan games in which are fights to the death between soldiers and crimminals. Landen wins 15 times and trains the group. He becomes a great warrior.

Vesputo

Vesputo was a general and right hand man to King Kareed. He murders the king and marries a girl posing as Torina, then kills the imposter to gain the throne.

King Kareed

King Kareed is the warrior king of Archeld. He took over Bellandra and killed Landen's father to expand his kingdom.

Queen Dreea

Queen Dreea is King Kareed's wife. After Torina's birth, she became pregnant seven times, each pregnancy ending in miscarriage or stillbirth.

King Veldon

The former king of Bellandra and Landen's father, he was killed by King Kareed when he invaded Bellandra.
