"The Saddle Club" is the first episode of The Saddle Club.
[edit] Plot
It is Lisa Atwood's first day at Pine Hollow. On the way there, her mother almost runs over riders Stevie Lake and Carole Hanson, best friends who are on their way back to the stable at Pine Hollow. At Pine Hollow, affluent rider Veronica diAngelo makes friends with Lisa. Veronica tries to persuade Lisa to go along with a plan to endanger Stevie - the plan involves attaching a beeper to the saddle of Commanche the horse that Stevie rides. Lisa, disturbed by Veronica's plan, tells Carole about it and Carole must deliberate as to whether Lisa is telling the truth or not.
Ultimately, Lisa saves Stevie's life and befriends her and Carole. The Saddle Club, a name proposed by Lisa, is formed.
[edit] Trivia
- In this episode Commanche has a thin strip but in later episodes he has a blaze.
- Carole's horse changes colors in different frames during Lisa's first riding lesson, switching back and forth between auburn and snowy white.
