From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Rockpile 16°46′46″N, 106°51′25″E (MGRS XD979559) is a rock outcropping near the former demilitarized zone of South Vietnam. Its relatively inaccessible location, reached only by helicopter, made it an important United States Army and Marine Corps artillery base.
