The Rise of Kinaray-a by Alex C. Delos Santos is the first comprehensive book on the history of Kinaray-a literature. It is published in 2003 by the University of San Agustin. The book includes essays on the history of Kinaray-a literature and an anthology of some poems, stories, and plays by Kinaray-a writers from Antique, including Delos Santos, Milagros Geremia-Lachica, Edison Tondares, Gerry Antoy, and others. The essays also include the author's first person account of the birth of Tabig Hubon Manunulat Antique in the late 80's, and a review of Salatan, an earlier anthology of Kinaray-a writing.
