The Playmobil Series

The Playmobil Series is a series of Playmobil videos filmed, voiced-over and scripted by Michael Turner, residing in Newbury. The first film was filmed in January 2008. The films are short, long or medium-length. The longest video so far is "The Wedding". The characters also officiate at certain Motor Sports Events in the Control Tower.

  • Julian Mather-Howard- Chief Executive of "Mather & Howard's Paper Supplies", the fictional company portrayed in the series. Becomes Bonnie's temporary boyfriend in "Bonnie's Appraisal"
  • Aaron Wright- Office worker- in charge of Accounts for "Mather & Howard's Paper Supplies" Helps Dave at race meetings as "Assistant to the Race Director."
  • Bonnie Wright- Another Accounts Woman, shares an office with Lara Lock. Aaron's Husband. Auntie to Lara's Children. Bonnie doesn't really enjoy her job and her dream is to someday become a Paramedic. Works with Lara at racemeetings as "Race Telephone Operator 1" Bonnie is a Welsh, lovable, bi-sexual accountant-come-Paramedic. Bonnie is prone to sudden mood swings. One minute, she loves Rachel and Bex, the next minute, she is threatening to put them up for adoption.
  • Dave Gibson- A facilitator. Dave fancies Bonnie but is put off during the episode 'Lesbianism' when Bonnie and Lara discuss being lesbians. Dave is the original Race Director at Racemeetings
  • Jamie Holder- Another facilitator. Jamie doesn't take his job as seriously as Dave and is sent out in Training Day 2 for commenting that "Dave fancies Bernard".
  • Lara Lock- Best friend to Bonnie and mother to children Rose and Olay. Another accountant for "Mather & Howard's" and Bonnie's officemate. Works on the "Race Telephone Operator 2" at racemeetings.
  • Olay Lock- Son to Lara. Nephew to Bonnie. Brother to Rose. Boyfriend to Georgie until "The Wedding" when Olay rejects her and shames her for "Having an affair with Trevor". He has a major moodswing and is overly rude to the guests.
  • Rose Lock- Sister to Olay and best friend to Georgie. Loses tolerance with Olay at the Wedding. Comforts Georgie.
  • Georgie Granger- Best friend to Rose and girlfriend to Olay until she is publicly rejected in front of the guests, one of which is her mother.
  • Helen Granger- Mother to Georgie. Very devoted but is furious when she believes Olay about the "affair with Trevor"
  • Bex Wright- Daughter to Bonnie and Aaron. Sister to Rachel. Friend to Rose and Georgie. Loses tolerance with Olay when he rejects Georgie. Olay threatens her with a handgun during "The Wedding"
  • Rachel Wright- Daughter to Bonnie and Aaron. Sister to Rachel. Friend to Rose and Georgie, but not Olay, effective from the Wedding.
  • Countess Lisl von Schlaff. The Belgian Countess. Attends all racemeetings and sits and watches on the balcony. Complains during 'Training Day' because the milkman hasn't been and wants her coffee.
  • Anne O'Brien- Lisl's Head Servant- In charge of organizing the housework and protecting the Countess.
  • Lydia Bennett- Lisl's 2nd Servant. Helps look after her pets and animals and cleans her house.
  • Nazia Wells- Replaces Dave at the race meetings as the Race Director. Very strict and expects everyone to take their roles seriously. She banishes Olay, Rose and Georgie from being in Race Control.
  • Alan Stewart- Fancies Bonnie. Starts work for racemeetings but he does try to take things seriously, but this means flirting with Bonnie on the way. This makes Aaron angry who often resorts to a fight with him.

Official

Episode 1- Training Day It is training day for the Hotel that they all worked for before Mather & Howards. It isn't shown in an episode, but the hotel closed and they were transferred to the "Mather & Howards" offices doing a duty they were strongest. Dave and Jamie facilitate and Aaron later suggests a party. Dave, especially doesn't want it but it happens.

Episode 2- Lesbianism Bonnie and Lara are working in their new office at "Mather & Howards". Bonnie would like to know what it is like to be a lesbian. She secretly asks Lara, trying to hide what she is trying to say. However, Dave walks in on them and he goes off Bonnie when he listens into their conversation.

Episode 3- The Wedding This is the longest video so far. Olay and Georgie get married. When Lydia gets to the impediment, Olay speaks out and says that Georgie is "having an affair with Trevor" and that he "saw them on Monday". He shames Georgie, pushes her over and has a major moodswing. Georgie refuses to forgive him when he tries to apologize at the end of the episode.

Episode 4- Race Day The characters are running the first race meeting of the series. The night before, Bonnie and Lara are catching up on some paperwork with Dave and Olay, Rose and Georgie secretly congregate on the roof. Bonnie, Lara and Dave go to investigate armed with a handgun to find it is them.

Episode 5- Sex Change

Lara is having a coffee in Bonnie's apartment, watching the BBC News. Bonnie tells Lara that she is planning a sex change. Lara decides to have one as well. They go next door and harass Dave. Dave uses the excuse that he is trying to work. He then requires a visit to the toilet and Bonnie and Lara go with him.

Episode 6- Bonnie's Appraisal

Bonnie is having her appraisal with Julian. Julian report that she is doing well. Bonnie then tells him that she is planning to leave. They then have a "one day stand". Julian tries proposing Bonnie, with disastrous results.

Episode 7- Road Race (Didcot)

This episode was filmed in Didcot, Oxfordshire. Bonnie and crew are working in Race Control, Olay Rose and Georgie are on the balcony. This episode features a rally of cars driving down a typical Didcot lane.

Episode 8- Road Race (Newbury)

This episode is the follow-on from the Didcot episode. It is filmed in Newbury, Berkshire and features a rally of cars and buses going up and down a Main Road.

Episode 9- Teenage Bonnie

It is Bonnie's 39th birthday and her last day at Mather & Howard's. Everyone gives a farewell party to say goodbye to her. She becomes drunk and disorderly and behaves like a teenager. She then throws Bex across the room, due to her drunken attitude and manner.

Episode 10- Bex abducted

The characters are back at the Newbury race meeting site. Sadly, during the course of the day, Bex is treated rather badly. She starts off by getting beaten up by Olay, and then abducted by the same figure that played the murder in the unofficial episode. Bonnie becomes worried ands shows Nazia and Lara her bedroom and homework desk. She is found 2 months later.

Playmobil Staff Training Day Murder is the only unofficial episode, when the characters attend a training day with Dave and Jamie. They are all murdered. Characters included: Olay, Rose, Georgie, Aaron, Jamie, Dave, Lara, Bonnie and the Murderer.
