The Perpetual Orgy: Flaubert and Madame Bovary (Spanish: La orgía perpetua. Flaubert y Madame Bovary, 1975) is a book-length essay by Peruvian novelist Mario Vargas Llosa which examines Flaubert's Madame Bovary as the first modern novel.
