[edit] Music

When the two reigning rock bands of Fort Scott, Kansas, came to an end in the summer of 2005, members of Pond Monkeys and Army of Prawnz combined forces to form The Noise FM. The band's intention was to write enough original material in a two week span to play an upcoming benefit concert. Needless to say, the band's six-song debut performance was a bit rough. However, the resulting music was enough to pique the quartet's interest, and The Noise FM soon became a full-time job. In less than a year, The Noise FM has made a name for itself releasing two EPs and playing shows throughout the Midwest.

The Noise FM consists of four young multi-instrumentalists with a combined experience of more than 20 years performing in bands. Drawing on influences ranging from experimental indie-rock acts such as Spoon, Radiohead and Pedro the Lion, to hard-core and industrial acts such as Cave In, Refused and Nine Inch Nails, The Noise FM has created a fresh, melodic and beat-driven sound.
