The Ninth Floor Project (http://www.ninthfloorproject.org) is a collaborative effort to design a symbol for the majority who support stem cell research. Hundreds of groups have an interest in promoting federal funding for embryonic stem cell research.[citation needed] Most of these organizations lobby individually or live in hope that the majority of Americans (61%[1]) who support their position will eventually call for the change they want. The Ninth Floor Project is a vehicle designed specifically to unify these groups—and the millions they represent—around their support for stem cell research.
