The Nature Company

The Nature Company was a retail store that was bought by Discovery Channel in 1972 for $40 million.[1] It sold scientific toys, telescopes, artwork and music CDs. It was owned by CML Group the holding company for NordicTrack (fitness equipment), Boston Whaler and Smith & Hawken (gardening equipment).

The Nature Company was founded in 1972 by Priscilla and Tom Wrubel, it had 114 stores in malls and airports when it was sold.
