The Mountain Echo

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Mountain Echo is a free weekly English magazine based in Val d’Isère, in the French Alps. The magazine provides news, snow reports, gossip and listings for the English-speaking inhabitants and holidaymakers in the ski resorts of Val d’Isère, Tignes and Meribel in the French Alps.

The magazine is particularly popular with the news-starved seasonal workers in the resort. A phenomenon most likely due to the no holes barred attitude to resort gossip. An italic ‘allegedly’ begins the weekly tirade of fairly insalubrious journalism in ‘The Insider’ section of the magazine. A section somewhat menacingly sub headed ‘We know what you did last night…’

The Mountain Echo was founded in the winter season 05/06 in Val d’Isère, expanded to also cover Tignes in 06/07 and new for 07/08 will now also cover Meribel.
