The Michener Institute, more formally The Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences, is a post-secondary institution in Toronto, Ontario, that educates applied health professionals. In 1990 the name was changed from The Toronto Institute of Medical Technology to The Michener Institute in honour of Roland Michener, the 20th Canadian Governor General.
The Michener Institute has 18 full-time programs and many more continuing education programs. Some of Michener's full-time programs include: Anesthesia Assistant, Chiropody, Genetics Technology, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Nuclear Medicine and Respiratory Therapy.
