The Legend of the Great Grizzly is a novel by Jeff Nesbit, the first of four in the High Sierra Adventure Series. The others are Cougar Chase, Setting the Trap, and Mountaintop Rescue.
[edit] Plot introduction
Twelve-year-old Joshua "Josh" Landis lives in Washington DC and has lost his father three years ago. Now his mother remarries with Mark Rawlings and Josh has to move across the whole country to California and the High Sierra National Park. There, it is a bear on the loose who finally kidnaps a young boy.
