[edit] Plot
FBI Agent Joe Devine (Baldwin) is assigned to take down the famous mob boss John Gotti. He decides to produce a movie as a sting operation. But what movie? Devine gets wannabe director Steven Schats (Broderick), as Schats is desperate to make a movie and will fall for anything. Soon the film Arizona is getting ready...except the film will never be made.
The premise behind the real-life FBI sting, called Dramex[1], was that in order to catch bad guys in the movie business, the good guys had to start making movies.
[edit] Reaction/Business
Critics liked the film, with a rating of 61 % Rotten Tomatoes[2]. However, audiences did not, as the film was not marketed well and had no audience. The film only opened in 35 theaters limited, grossing only $463,730.
