The Last Days of Pompeii was a 1984 ABC-TV miniseries, adapting the 1834 novel of the same name by Edward Bulwer-Lytton. It was the first English-language adaptation of the book for film or television (previously only adapted in Italian). It counted among its stars, Sir Laurence Olivier, Duncan Regehr, Nicholas Clay, Olivia Hussey, Linda Purl, Franco Nero, Lesley-Anne Down, Ernest Borgnine, Ned Beatty, and Siobhán McKenna.
