[edit] Formation

While working on a solo album in Nashville, Benny Marchant met David J. Holman, a Los Angeles based Record Producer. When Marchant moved to Los Angeles he once again met up with Holman and started work on a second solo project. Started in the studio, recording 20 songs with Sean Hurley (of Vertical Horizon) on bass guitar and Brian "Dogboy" Burwell (of Neve) on drums to fill in, the solo project quickly turned into a band project with the addition of Sean Hennesy (of The Hiwatts) playing lead guitar and Adam Kury (of The Hiwatts) playing bass guitar.

The band is currently in the studio working on their self-titled debut album due to be released in spring 2008.

[edit] Performances

The Kings Royal perform in clubs in and around Los Angeles, the Viper Room. The band is touring with Candlebox in the summer of 2008.
