"The Immortals" is the 4th episode of the drama television series NCIS.
[edit] Plot
A group of people are on a boat, talking about sharks. Then, one guy decides to get up "close and personal with the coral reef", so he dives in the ocean and finds a dead body, a sailor in his dress whites, with chains and weights on his waist, and a character log for an MMORPG.
NCIS retrieves the body, and Ducky examines it, and using inferences from the whole team, they find out that it is Seaman Russell McDonald. Then when they need to interrogate the mother of Seaman McDonald, Agent Gibbs sends Agents Kate Todd and Anthony DiNozzo to question her in the family home.
When NCIS goes to investigate the ship, Kate Todd reads his character's diary on the Internet and she finds some entries that raise the team's suspicion level so high that they believe that he is trying to kill the Boss of the ship and that a bio-bomb will go off at sunset.
But the unexpected happens when a co-worker of Seaman McDonald's actually admits to taking the MMORPG to the next level.
