The Hype Explosion is an international basketball tournament that combines a professional basketball game and the elements of music to create an exciting show that places the artist and the basketball player first. The Hype explosion was created with the basketball player in mind to help educate and enhance the career of the basketball player and the music artist. The 2007 tournament will take place in Houston, TX and in Washington, DC. Last years tournament took place in Los Angeles, California and Bronx, New York.

The Tournaments are compiled in four regions. The Hype Explosion South, The Hype Explosion East are currently hosting this years tournaments. The Hype Explosion West and The Hype Explosion North will beginning their tournaments in 2008.

These tournaments are very exciting and a fun experience for fans and a great experience for basketball players, dancers and musicians.
