The Hyderabad Public School, Kadapa is a branch of the Hyderabad Public School Society established in 2005. It was inaugurated by Dr. Y.S. Rajashekara Reddy, Honourable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, India.

The Hyderabad Public Schools are established by the Hyderabad Public School Society (Regd.)and are run by a Board of Governors. The Hyderabad public School Society is headed by a President and has a Vice President,Secretary, Treasurer and four members as the Managing Committee. The Principal Secretary to Govt. of AP, School Education Dept., is theChairman of the Board of Governors.

English is the medium of instruction. The school provides 4 years schooling to begin with. The School prepares the students for the ICSE Public Examination.
The syllabus is so designed for classes V to VIII as to fulfill thesyllabus for the Class X ICSE Examination conducted by the Council for theIndian School Certificate Examinations.
While English, Environmental Education, Mathematics, Sciences(Physics/Biology/Chemistry) History/Geography/Civics are compulsory at the ClassX ICSE level, all students have to study one Indian languageāHindi, Telugu orUrdu (for which provision is available).
SUPW (Socially Useful Productive work) is a compulsory subject which isnecessary fore the candidate to pass in the internal assessment by the school.

There are four housing used for school competitions.
- Nagarjuna - The Red House
- Taxila - The Green House
- Nalanda - The Blue House
- Vijayanagara - The Yellow House

[edit] Boys
Khaki shirt, short sleeves with provision for shoulder tabs, shoulder tabs, Khaki socks and black leather shoes and black belt. Students from Class 9 onwards should wear Khaki trousers.

Olive green pinafore and light cream colour shirt, white socks and black shoes and white ribbons.
[edit] P.T. uniform
Students are expected to wear games uniform issued by the school during P.T.Classes and games periods.
[edit] Sports and games
For the Residential boarders, the day starts with morning PT and group games. Games are compulsory for one hour during the late afternoon on five days each week. The Chief Games played are Basketball, Cricket, Football, Volley Ball, Tennicoit, Chess, Carroms and other games. Training in Athletics is a regular feature in the games programme.
