The Home Counties Magical Society is a British magic club dedicated to magic. It is Based in Reading, Berkshire. UK. It is also referred to as HCMS
The Society was founded on the 30th May 1947 and it's first president was L. J. Hatten Waldren, with and Reg. Wright and H. L. Gilbert as, respectively, Secretary and Treasurer.
The society now meets on the 3rd Thursday of every month and exists to further the art of magic for those in the Home counties Region through lectures, discussions and club nights for the Members.
The Society was also the organiser for the successful 'Junior Day' magic conventions and competitions held for younger magicians.
