When he comes home from school his mother has a surprise for him: a hot dog costume. He wears the costume, because he doesn't want to hurt his mom's feelings. He sees the other dogs showing off their costumes and when they see Oscar's costume they howl in laughter.
Oscar's costume is so heavy that it slows him down. Meanwhile the dogs are getting their paws on all the treats and when Oscar comes there are no more treats. The dogs go to a graveyard and they hear a noise and run. They fall into a lake and see a monster. Oscar comes and sees the monster. Oscar notices something strange and pulls off the cover of the monster and there are two cats and the cats run away. Oscar jumps into the lake and rescues the dogs. The dogs thank Oscar by giving him their treats.
