"The Gold It's in The..." is a song from Pink Floyd's 1972 album Obscured by Clouds, the soundtrack to the film La Vallée. The song is about a traveller who goes on a quest, just for kicks, reflecting the voyage of discovery undertaken by the explorers in the film. As referenced in the lyrics, "They say there's gold and I'm looking for thrills", and "You can get your hands on whatever we find, 'cause I'm only coming along for the ride." This is Pink Floyd's most "classic rock" sounding song they have ever recorded which pre dates much of the later genre, as this was only 1972. Some of the vocals are very "Beatlesque".
