The Go-Getter is a 2007 American independent film directed and written by Martin Hynes. The film stars Colin Fickes, Lou Taylor Pucci, Zooey Deschanel, and Jena Malone. The film debuted at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival, and is centered on a young man who, after the death of his mother, steals a car and searches for his long-lost brother, along the way also discovering numerous connections between himself and the car's owner.

A teenager named Mercer steals a car in order to travel the Western United States and at the same time, deal with personal, emotional problems. While driving, he makes contact with the girl who owns the car. They bond over the phone, never quite meeting but talking many times while he travels.

As of June 6, 2008, the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes reported that 33% of critics gave the film positive reviews, based on 12 reviews.[1] Metacritic reported the film had an average score of 73 out of 100, based on 6 reviews.[2]
