The Geffen Film Company

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Geffen Film Company (well known by many as Geffen Pictures) was a motion picture distributor and production company founded by David Geffen. Geffen founded the company in 1980, having recruited Eric Eisner as president. Geffen later sold it to Universal Studios, but Warner Bros. owns the rights to most of GFC's films. Their only movie made by Paramount and MTV Productions is the 1996 Mike Judge comedy, Beavis and Butt-Head Do America.

The company closed in 1998.
