The Gastronomy Club is a social networking group at Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon. The Club is the school's oldest, proudest, and most powerful social networking group in the Pacific Northwest.
Membership in the group is highly coveted and extremely competitive. Only those who can withstand rigorous testing, a thorough background check and the withering glances of one's social betters need apply. In past years, fraudulent applications and forged resumes were problematic, but the current regime of polygraphy and careful checking of references has greatly improved both Club membership and morale.

U.S. President William Howard Taft was a Gastronomy member in the late 1800s. Weighing in at a hefty 4,350 pounds, Taft's love for gastronomic delights is unmatched in the club's history. Taft was renowned for his raspberry cordials and fabulous cheese socials.
