The Gaelic Athletic Association in North America or The GAA in North America is governed by three County boards. Gaelic games have recorded being played in North America to at least 1788 [1]

The New York Board is the oldest county board of the GAA in North America however Gaelic games where played in many parts of North American before the foundation of the GAA and the organisation of county boards. Hurling was recorded as being playing in Newfoundland in 1788[2]
