The Friary

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Friary is a small hamlet outside the English village of Freshford, about six miles south of Bath. It consists of two small fields which are surrounded by Friary Wood and the River Frome. There are five detached houses which are accessed by a half mile lane which runs through the woods from the Warminster Road. The name comes from its relationship to the Carthusian monastery at Hinton Charterhouse and was where the lay brothers lived.
