The Escorts (Liverpool band)

The Escorts are a band from Liverpool of the Merseybeat-era.

In 1963, The Escorts were voted the ninth most popular group in Liverpool by readers of "Mersey Beat" magazine. Paul McCartney produced them in 1966.[citation needed]

Sylvester would leave to join The Swinging Blue Jeans before replacing Graham Nash in The Hollies.

Though they never released a full LP, during their short time together, Edsel Records released an LP containing all twelve songs from the six singles in 1983. It was released on CD in 1995 as EDCD 422 and titled From the Blue Angel as a reference to the club they began performing in, in 1962.
