The Edge Performing Arts & Convention Centre

The Edge is New Zealand's largest performing arts and convention centre. It is a Council Controlled Trading Organisation of Auckland City Council and comprises:
- The Aotea Centre (2,256 person capacity)
- Aotea Square (large open space and home to the Aotea Markets[1]
- Auckland Town Hall (1,673 person capacity)
- Civic Centre (one of only seven atmospheric theatres left in the world today with a 2,378 person capacity)
In 2006, some 1,472 events were attended by 1.26 million people.

The Edge has a Board of six and is Chaired by Richard Waddel and the Deputy Chair is Peter Stubbs.
