The Dogfather
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Dogfather was created by Hawley Pratt and Friz Freleng. The series was released through theaters by United Artists and ran from 1974 to 1976. 17 shorts were produced. There is yet to be a DVD release for the title. The series was basically a parody of the movie, The Godfather but with canines as part of the Italian organized crime syndicate. 19 years later in 1993 a new version of the cartoon produced for The Pink Panther aired with Joe Pesci as the voice of the title role. In 'The Pink Panther's Passport to Peril', the name of the main villain is the Dogfather.
